Through cooperative effort, The Keith Genealogy Book Project has provided significant resource works in these web pages, in the Keith book, and in several booklets/disks as discussed below:
1. A listing of KEITH families and the researchers who are doing work with each. See Keith Families and who is researching them.
2. A Directory of Keith researchers, including addresses and many direct e-mail hot links. See Alphabetical Listing of Keith researchers.
3. Alphabetical listing of surnames allied to Keith, as shown in the index to the Keith book (four files). Keith, Keath and Keeth are NOT shown in this listing, but are contained in the 124-page full-name index in the Keith Book.
5. KEITH/KEATH/KEETH Families Extracted from the United States Census of 1850, was created as a 74-page booklet (once sold for $15) which is now sold out. The full text of this booklet may be had on disk ($5, including postage). E-mail me for further information.
6. FREE LOOK-UPs. If you have purchased the Keith book, and require information about a family that is not shown in its text, I have additional resources that I will consult in your behalf. These resources include computer files of all the KEITH/KEATH/KEETH families listed in the 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, and 1900 census, and about 200 pages of family information which have been added since publication of the book. I will do look-ups on request. Simply e-mail me, requesting this service. You must include enough detail about your family of interest so that I can readily differentiate that family from others.
7. For anyone intending to publish a Keith family history, The Keith Genealogy Book Project can provide additional information and tips on initiating and completing a successful project. You are invited to e-mail me for further consultation on such matters, or write to Larry Keith, P. O. Box 271423, Houston, TX 77277-1423.
8. QUERIES may be posted on any of several genealogy bulletin boards and forums. I regularly monitor, and highly recommend the one called "GenForum", which you can enter through URL: http://genforum.familytreemaker.com/keith/.
